This isn't just your ordinary milkshake. It's more than just ice cream spun into a cup. It doesn't give your jaws a workout and it's nothing like you've ever seen before.
K & J's Elegant Pastries have the best milkshakes.
Located in Alabaster, Ala. this locally owned pastry shop has the answers to your milkshake needs. With an assortment to choose from, I didn't know where to start. There's the strawberry shortcake, salted caramel pretzel, the Kollasal Jawdropper, cotton candy and a couple more. All of them looked so good, one of the little helpers around the shop had to come help me choose. When I say little, she was the cutest 8-year-old who was so well-spoken and knew her stuff on the milkshakes. She definitely sold me on the one I got.
I ended up ordering the "K & J" Special. It had vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, a cookie sandwich and a brownie with a cherry on top. Sound like a lot going on? It was and totally worth it.
I've heard before that boutique-style pastry shops aren't worth it, the presentation is just nice. In this case, that was a lie. Not only did my milkshake look exactly like the picture, but it tasted just as good as my tastebuds imagined. It's was a win-win.
My friend ordered the cotton candy milkshake, which came with a cotton candy flavored cupcake on top of it. Perfect for your unicorn needs, I'm not sure how much cuter a milkshake can get.
The milkshakes are not the only attraction that they have to offer. K & J's also serves cupcakes, dipped fruit, basic shakes, and birthday party cupcakes and large cakes. It's truly an impressive shop.
