Feels like the coronavirus has come in and taken over 2020. Amiright?! Most of us are working from home, out of a job, searching for Lysol and losing our mind thanks to boredom during quarantine.
If you live on earth, there's a strong possibility you're under a shelter in place, stay at home, or some sort of self-quarantine guidelines and the fact that this is our new life is probably settling in.
These are the facts:
The novel coronavirus started in Wuhan, China at the end of December. On Jan. 11, Chinese state media reported its first death from an illness caused by the virus. January 20, other countries, including the United States, confirmed cases. Fastforward through February, the U.S. attempted to contain the virus by quarantining the Diamond Cruiseship passengers who traveled to Japan. Today, we're facing thousands of cases of the coronavirus and many deaths are accumulating. President Donald Trump has administered 'social distancing' guidelines and restrictions on travel.
Things to remember:
Wash your hands for 20 seconds+
Keep a 3 to 6 foot distance between you and a person
No groups larger than 6 people
2020, you are wildin'.
If I knew after my birthday on January 10, that three months later I'd be self-quarantined working from home with a dog as a coworker, I would have assumed I quit my job because there's no way news can happen from home, boy was I mistaken. It's business as usual at CBS 42 from my living room.
What have you been doing during the coronavirus pandemic?
I have been FaceTiming with my closest friends and family, binge-watching shows on TV (we'll get to that later), playing Uno against my roommate, cleaning up, organizing my finances, spending more time with my dog and much more since I have so much time at home. Let's get into things we can do at home while we're self-quarantined.
Quarantine 'tings' to do!

Organize your pantry/closet
Do some laundry
Try a new recipe

As far as binge-watching goes, I've watched movies on Netflix and Disney+. Here are a few shows I've gotten into.

Disney+

Whew! That's a lot of TV.
During times like this when we're seeing family less and talking through the phone, it's important to keep your spirits high and not get down in the dumps. As long as we do our part each day to stop the spread and social distance, we'll see fun days to come outside.
Happy quarantining. Ciao!
