Reaching your Goals

2016 has flew by and I feel like I've accomplished so much in what seems like a short amount of time.
Some of the highlights of my 2016 have to be:
I won an indoor championship, completed an internship at KTRK-TV abc13, and created my blog. And I've maintained my grades throughout it all.
It may not sound like much, but hard hours of practice, sleepless nights, and determination went into that and I'm proud of myself.
How was your 2016? Was it as eventful as mine or did you have plans that fell through?
Often times we have a goal but it only remains an idea and never gets a chance to manifest.
I am going to walk you through a few goal setting steps I use to make sure that I achieve every goal that I set and hopefully you'll catch on too!
1. Your Idea!
You have an idea. Is it realistic? Think about and brainstorm the different things you'd like to accomplish in the next year. You have to work each day to make yourself a better version of YOU.
1. Goal for personal life
2. Goal for professional life
2. Write it down
Write it down. Write it everywhere. Make sticky notes. Make notes in your phone. Write it in your planner (I suggest having a planner). Use a dry-erase marker and write it on your bathroom mirror. Write it down! The more you see the words, the more the vision will come to life because you can't forget about it. Each week in my planner I would write down "take photos for website", "work on website" and even though I wouldn't get to it, I'd see it and it would motivate it me to get it done.
3. Stop thinking and Start Doing
Map out steps that you will take in order to achieve that goal. It can be a daily basis process, or something you check week-to-week in order to make sure its accomplished by the end of the month. Either way, don't let one month's task slip into the next month's. That is an easy way for your goals to get away from your finger tips.
One thing you can take away from this, if nothing else, is Do Not Procrastinate.
I have created this template that you can print out and fill in to add to your daily routine. Put it on the fridge, your desk at work or put it in a folder you open every day. Just make sure its visible.

Live life,
