Where did my best friend, Essence, decide to celebrate her birthday this year? In the city of angels. Grant, Essence and I traveled from Houston to Los Angeles and met up with our friend Audrey and had the time of our lives. We touched every part of the greater Los Angeles area, from Malibu, Calabasas, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Hollywood, Burbank, all the way to Anaheim. We saw it all.

My trip can't be summed up in one post so I'm going to spread this between two parts. This was seriously one of the best trips I've been on. Here we go.

Arriving

After a 4 A.M. flight that Grant and I were almost late to - might I add, we arrived in L.A. Our first stop, FOOD. We ate at The Griddle Cafe. Their pancakes were bigger than Texas and the menu was so hard to choose from because everything sounded good. Essence, Grant and I went with the "Some like it HOT" Scramble. Just think of breakfast nachos on another level. We loved it!

Following brunch, was one of the highlights of the trip.

Malibu Wine Safari

Talk about the cutest winery ever. Maybe cute isn't the best word to describe it. The winery was beautiful. 100s of acres, we fed animals, and saw some pretty cool sites. The mountains of Malibu are so nice. We tasted six wines, all of which I don't remember the names of but, there were three whites and three reds. If you have the chance to take a trip through the safari, go! I also got to see the giraffe from Hangover. He lives on the property.

STYLE TIP: My cute black and white outfit is from one of my favorite stores: Zara. This top paired well with my high-waist zip up shorts and will also go well with whenever I decide to wear jeans.

Back to the trip

Brunch and the winery were great, but it isn't over yet! There is still so much more fun to be had. The adventure continues with a few more hot spots on the West Coast. Just wait and see.

Until then,

Live life,

Jordan
