What else happened on our fun trip to L.A.?

We went to Disneyland! I know, what are a group of twenty-somethings doing at Disneyland? We're having fun, that's what! It was such a fun experience. I actually have never been to either Disneyland or Disney World. I went to Universal Studios, Island of Adventure, and Blizzard Beach when I was younger, but that's all. This was definitely a great place to bring out my inner 3-year-old self and enjoy the many attractions. We rode a few rides, some rollercoasters and other sorts of things... one in particular deserves a story.

I suggested the Pirates of the Caribbean ride because on the map it said that it was action-packed. One thing it failed to mention though, was that you get splashed with water. Yeah, wasn't ready for that. I guess I could've put my thinking cap on and thought about how the movies of Pirates of the Caribbean take place on boats in water - yeah makes sense. So anyway, we got splashed a few times. The cool thing about it though, is that if you've seen the movies, which I love, there are scenes from the movies with moving figures. You also ride in a boat in the dark the entire time so it feels eerie (in a good way).

We also went to the park next to Disneyland: California Adventure. There, we rode a huge rollercoaster that made all of our stomachs drop. I haven't rode a rollercoaster in ages so it was fun to get back into the swing of things, literally.

That night, we went out with our friends and met some really cool guys from New York. When I say, Hennessy bottles on deck! They did not come to play. I don't know who they thought was going to drink all of it, but surely not I, haha. We enjoyed ourselves and turned their section up so it was a win.

Let's talk about brunch on Manhattan beach. We ate at this cool restaurant called The Strand House, compliments to my friend Matt who suggested it. Good pick! I had the salmon Benedict with a salad and Grant and Essence enjoyed chicken and waffles that also looked really delicious. If you're ever near that area, definitely check that restaurant out. It was cute, on the beach and had nice sitting areas to eat.

The highlight of Saturday had to be where we had dinner.

Crustacean. 3 words. Amazing, amazing... did I mention that it's amazing? I wish I could have it monthly. I'd say weekly but I'm not ballin enough for that yet. Crustacean is a popular seafood restaurant in Beverly Hills that is very upscale. We dressed for the nines and dined like the fancy cool kids that we are. Grant and I had the ginger lobster with angel hair pasta and Essence had the roast crab with garlic noodles from the Secret Kitchen Specialties menu. We fell in love, to say the least. The service was awesome and the food was excellent.

By now, it's Saturday and we've done everything that we want so we spent the day exploring Beverly Hills and sightseeing. We were actually supposed to wake up and go to RunYon however, that didn't happen. On the brighter side, we were getting prepped for VEGAS. We went to Vegas for one day - Sunday to Monday. Really quick trip.

Vegas was awesome!

Skip the four hour drive. We started the day out at a pool party. It was lit.

Lit definition: 'Lit' has been a slang term meaning "intoxicated" for over a century. More recently, it has acquired the meaning "exciting," as well as a broader meaning along the lines of "excellent."

Merriam-Webster.

From the dj, the drinks, the people, we had a good time. But it's mostly because wherever we go together, we always make it a fun scene. After the pool party, we napped and got ready to go out that night. I'm not going to lie, I think we were exhausted but none of us acted like it. We were determined to finish the trip out having fun. We all got dressed, barely put makeup on, and went to Drai's night club to turn up.

The next day, on the way back to L.A. we stopped at the Seven Magic Mountains. Just something cool and fun to take pictures of in the middle of the desert in Las Vegas.

This day was also the conclusion of our trip. Super sad. We had so much fun, we didn't want to leave, but I'm glad it happened. We made memories that'll last a lifetime. Whether you want to travel in the U.S. our out of the country, I encourage you to take the trip. While it may be costly, nothing compares to the memories you make on the journey.

That's all for the traveling Life of Jordie. Let's see where we go next!

Live life,

Jordan
